 Aromatherapy

Massage can be one of the most effective ways of learning how to relax. It can stimulate or soothe, give comfort and promote good health. Massage is also the most effective way of applying essential oils. The combination of oils with therapeutic touch is guaranteed to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed and with a sense of well-being and calm.

 HOLISTIC MASSAGE

Therapeutic massage for muscular stiffness

A hands-on manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. Amongst the many different types of massage therapy methods (called modalities) there are two major categories:

Relaxation massage: Also known as Swedish massage and practiced in spas, wellness centres and hotel resorts.

Rehabilitative massage: Known as therapeutic soft and deep tissue massage, medical or clinical massage, practiced in both hospitals, complementary and alternative clinics.

Most people have aching sore muscles (Myalgia) at some point. This may affect your whole body or specific areas such as your neck, shoulders, legs, or even your feet. If you have been over using your muscles this pain may range from mild to excruciating. It may go away in a few days or it may become serious and prevent you from doing daily activities. A good therapeutic massage practitioner aims to treat the ‘root cause’ of your pain. With the skilful application of touch, muscular tension may be relieved.

Many people seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons:

  • reduce pain
  • improve sleep
  • relax muscles
  • rehabilitate injuries
  • reduce stress and anxiety
  • strain and sprains
  • tension headaches
  • promote overall health and wellbeing
  • Stiff joints

A good practitioner will assess and record all changes that you display, physical and emotional.  Usually after the first treatment you will feel an improvement. However, it may take a minimum of three weekly treatments. Your treatment plan and health is unique to you. For this reason, it is confidential and notes are securely filed.

 Life Coaching

Want to make a change but feeling stuck, overwhelmed and unable to take the next step? Personal Coaching can help.

Coaching is an supportive conversation between the coach and individual focused on the area/issue that they want to change. This conversation explores goals, benefits of change, motivation and resources, obstacles to change, and how to implement decisions effectively. The coach’s role is to listen, acknowledge achievements, clarify, understand, challenge, motivate, facilitate and provide feedback.

Coaching provides dedicated time to talk, reflect, think in depth, and to consider options. Through this process you can gain:

  • greater awareness
  • make clearer judgement s about situations
  • learn from experience
  • make better choices and decisions
  • set goal based objectives
  • take responsibility for the areas you want to change

Coaching can help with?

Personal fulfillment, health and well-being, fitness, relationships, confidence and self-esteem, difficult dilemmas or decisions, learning and studying are common subjects for personal coaching.
